Northern Valve and Fitting Company Limited (NVFCL), based in Greater Manchester, has created a new role in its senior leadership team to develop innovative clean energy solutions for its clients.
Mitchell Brunt has been appointed as NVFCL’s first ever commercial director for clean energy. His role will focus on developing new relationships, strategies, and propositions in the hydrogen and gas sector.
With over 30 years’ experience across the oil and gas, utilities, and clean energy markets, Mitchell is also a chartered engineer with the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers. During his career, he has held various sales and project leadership roles and has gained extensive experience in driving strategic initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and achieving exceptional results in project delivery, market expansion, and revenue growth.
Alongside Mitchell’s appointment, NVFCL has grown its senior leadership team with two other appointments. Andrew Marsh has been appointed as technical director for sales and training, and Kevin Walker is NVFLC’s new UK technical sales manager. Together, these three experts have over 80 years of combined experience in the oil, gas and hydrogen industries.
Through innovation and growth, these three appointments will bring an improved focus on delivering products and services that exceed the highest industry standards. The aim is to bring world-class fluid systems and services to everyone to ensure safe and reliable system performance.
NVFCL supplies high-quality components and services across all industries, including oil and gas, clean energy, hydrogen, automotive, and pharmaceutical. It is the only authorised distributor in the UK for the global manufacturer FITOK.
The appointments follow the business’ relocation, earlier this year, to its new 12,000 sq ft UK headquarters at Moss Industrial Estate in Leigh, Greater Manchester. The company also has two sales offices in Scotland and Wales and plans to open a new sales office in Northern Ireland next year.
Joint chief executives at NVFCL, Patrick Drury and Darrell Jones, acquired the business in 2018. They share a vision to increase their UK market share, particularly within the growing clean energy sector and hydrogen industry, and to be recognised as market leaders.
Patrick Drury, chief executive of NVFCL, said: “This is a very exciting time for us, and we are delighted to welcome Mitchell, Andrew, and Kevin to the team. These are crucial appointments that have brought a huge amount of technical knowledge and expertise in-house. Embedding this high level of talent at the top of the business will also ensure that our customers have access to the most technically competent sales team.”
“These three strategic appointments will also ensure that NVFCL has the structure embedded to deliver changing regulatory processes with the hydrogen and nuclear industries, including accreditations like Fit for Nuclear and Fit for H2, to ensure full compliance in gas safety standards, while offering our customers the most cost-effective solution.”
“We take great pride in our high standards within industry, the technical sales support we offer, and our technical accreditations. We are now ready to grow our UK market share by giving our customers exactly what they want when they want it.”
